Introduction to aluminum discs
Aluminum discs are a product with a simple production process and low technical requirements. They are widely used in kitchen supplies, electronic products, automotive supplies, lamps, packaging and other fields.
Aluminum discs are generally processed by stamping or spinning to form aluminum alloy products, and generally require high ductility for aluminum discs.
Production process of aluminum disc
The production process of aluminum discs mainly includes the following steps:
- Raw material preparation: First, select aluminum materials with purity that meets the requirements as raw materials, which are usually supplied in the form of aluminum coils. For products with higher requirements, such as capacitor housings, pure aluminum with a purity greater than 99.00% will be used.
- Uncoiling: If aluminum coils are used as raw materials, the coils will be unrolled by an uncoiling machine at the beginning of production.
- Leveling: The unrolled aluminum is flattened by a leveling machine to eliminate possible wavy or curved materials and ensure the accuracy of subsequent processing.
- Feeding: The flattened aluminum is fed into the feeder and evenly fed to the stamping area according to the set length and speed.
- Stamping: This is a key step. A dedicated closed single-point or double-point mechanical press, hydraulic press and other equipment are used to punch the aluminum. During the stamping process, the blank is first cut into squares or directly used in coils, and then punched into a circle through a specific die. If it is a fully automatic production line, this process is controlled by a CNC system without manual intervention.
- Blanking: Aluminum is punched into discs of the required diameter through a stamping die.
- Waste treatment: The scraps from punching are collected and processed by the scrap shearing system for recycling.
- Palletizing and packaging: The punched aluminum discs are stacked and sorted by the automatic palletizing unit, and necessary packaging is carried out for easy storage and transportation.
- Quick die change: For the situation where discs of different sizes need to be produced, modern production lines are equipped with a quick die change device, which can change the mold in a short time to meet different production needs.
Application fields of aluminum discs
Aluminum discs are widely used in many fields, mainly including:
- Kitchenware manufacturing: Aluminum discs are often used to make kitchen utensils such as pots, plates, and kettles. Aluminum has good thermal conductivity, light weight, corrosion resistance, and is easy to form, making it an ideal material for kitchenware manufacturing.
- Lamps: Aluminum discs can be used to make lampshades and reflectors for various lamps, using the high reflectivity and light weight of aluminum to improve the brightness and beauty of lamps.
- Transportation: In the manufacture of vehicles such as automobiles, motorcycles, and bicycles, aluminum discs are used as brake discs, fuel tank caps and other parts. Due to their light weight, high strength, and corrosion resistance, they help improve the performance and fuel efficiency of vehicles.
- Electronic products: Aluminum discs are used in the housings and radiators of electronic products. The good thermal conductivity of aluminum can effectively dissipate heat and protect electronic components.
- Household appliances: In the manufacture of washing machines, refrigerators, microwave ovens and other home appliances, aluminum discs are used to make various parts to improve the durability and beauty of products.
- Architectural decoration: Aluminum discs can be used for ceilings, wall decoration panels, etc., and are favored in the field of architectural decoration because of their lightness, corrosion resistance and easy processing.
- Industrial manufacturing: Aluminum discs are widely used in the manufacture of mechanical parts, such as gears, gaskets, etc., taking advantage of their excellent machining performance and durability.
- Medical devices: In some medical devices, aluminum discs are used as components and accessories because they are light, non-toxic, corrosion-resistant and easy to disinfect.
The wide application of aluminum discs stems from the superior properties of aluminum itself, such as light weight, high strength, corrosion resistance, good thermal conductivity, easy processing and recycling, which makes it irreplaceable in many fields.
